Creamy Chicken Noodle Soup In The Slow Cooker

Ingredients

1 kilogram skinless chicken breast fillets, whole
8 cups of water
1 parsnip, chopped
1 carrot, chopped
2 sticks celery, chopped
2 garlic cloves, squashed with the side of a knife
1 medium leek, chopped
3/4 cup split peas, rinsed
3/4 cup dried lentils, rinsed
1 tablespoon chopped parsley
250 grams noodles (any variety)
Salt (to taste)

Preparation

Put everything in the slow cooker, except the noodles. Cook on low for 8 hours.

Remove the chicken breasts and add the noodles.

Shred the chicken and add back into the slow cooker. Cook for another 30 minutes or until the noodles are cooked.
