French Holiday Dates

Ingredients

Cut your dates oblong (vertically) down the center, in half

Stuff 2 or 3 little marshmallows in the center

Stick in, sideways, a pecan half

Close your date (the stickiness of the date will ensure this will stick together when you do it)

After you are finished preparation, roll all of them in powdered sugar

Serve on a lovely platter lined with doilies

About

This is a winter hors d'ouvre often served in France at holiday parties. They make a lovely presentation, and better yet, they are amazingly yummy! It's easy to make these ahead and bring to a party. It's a bit time consuming, but the children can help by stuffing the marshmallows for you! Bon appetit!
