Oat Burgers
Ingredients
1 pound Block Firm Tofu
1 1/2 cups Oatmeal, uncooked
1 Onion, chopped
1/2 cup Grated Carrots
1 tablespoon Tahini
2 tablespoons Vegetarian Worcestershire Sauce
Preparation

Saute onion in a small amount of water until transparent. Drain the tofu and crumble it into a large bowl.

Combine all the ingredients and mix well. (Use your hands if necessary).

HELPFUL HINTS:These may be prepared ahead and placed under the broiler for a few minutes before serving. They can also be heated quickly in a microwave. They are also very good cold. Great to bring to a picnic or cook-out.

Sometimes you may get tofu with a high water content. As a result you may find the ingredients difficult to form into patties using your hands.
