Grilled Corn on the Cob with Cajun Seasoning

Ingredients

6 ears of corn, shucked
1 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon paprika
3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
3/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/8 teaspoon ground red pepper

Preparation

1
Mix ingredients for seasoning and then crush to a powder with a mortar and pestle.
2
Mixture can be stored in an airtight container for several months.
3
Brush cobs with melted butter or olive oil.
4
Sprinkle with Cajun Seasoning Mix.
5
Grill on medium to medium high heat for about 12 minutes, rotating so that all sides cook evenly.
6
The kernels will enlarge slightly and deepen in color when the corn is done.
7
Note: This mixture has a kick to it. I usually have enough to coat 12-18 ears of corn before making another batch of mix. If you like things extra spicy, you may use it faster.
