Chocolate Banana Cookies

Ingredients

2/3 cup shortening

1 cup sugar

1 egg, well beaten

1 pkg. (6 oz.) semi-sweet morsels

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 cup soft mashed bananas

2 1/4 cups flour

2 teaspoons baking powder

1/4 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

Preparation

Cream together shortening and sugar. Add egg. Melt chocolate morsels and add vanilla to the chocolate. Add this to mixture and then add bananas. Last add the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, soda and salt. Drop by spoonful on cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 13 to 15 minutes.
