Chelley’s Wonton Ingots

Ingredients

small A bunch of chives, chopped finely
1 clove of garlic, crushed and chopped finely
1 teaspoon fresh ginger paste
1 teaspoon sesame oil
Salt and pepper for taste
1 packet of wonton wrappers
A bowl of tepid water

Preparation

Marinate minced pork with ingredients for 2 hours or overnight.

To fold wonton into ingot shape, place a piece of wonton wrapper on a board facing you as shown in the montage.

Place a small teaspoon of minced pork mixture onto center of the wrapper.

Moisten the top two edges of the wrapper as shown in the picture.

Fold the bottom half up to form a triangle and press down firmly making sure the minced pork mixture stays in the middle.

Invert the triangle wonton as shown in the picture and using your thumb to make a dent to push the minced pork mixture inwards.

Next, fold the two corners up. Left over right. Dab a little water on the right corner and secure the two ends together. Done!
