Edible Flowers

Preparation
1
Cautions:Avoid using non-edible flowers as a garnish. They may be mistaken as edible.
2
Do not use pesticides on flowers in your garden that you wish to eat unless they are organic pesticides labeled for use with edible crops.
3
Wait the recommended time before harvesting if you have used organic pesticides.
4
Don't eat flowers purchased from florists or commercial garden centers or picked from roadsides, as they probably have been contaminated by pesticides or pollutants.
5
Introduce edible flowers into your diet gradually. Flowers may cause digestive problems if eaten in large quantities, so use them sparingly.
6
People who suffer from allergies and asthma may have allergic reactions to edible flowers and should use them only as a garnish.
