Dal Khichidi
Ingredients
1/2 cup Yellow dhal
1 Onion big
2 Tomatoes
1 small Ginger piece
1 Carrot
4 Beans
1/4 cup Peas
1 Potato
Salt To taste
1/2 spoon Turmeric powder
1 teaspoon Garam masala powder
2 tablespoons Ghee
2 tablespoons Oil
Coriander leaves few
To season
1 tablespoon Jeera
4 Cloves
Cinnamon stick small piece
1 Elaichi
Preparation

Cut all the vegetables into small dices.Crush ginger and green chilli.

Heat oil in a pan add jeera,cloves,cinnamon,elaichi and onions.

Fry for a minute and add ginger,green chilli and the tomatoes.

Add rest of the vegetables and saute for a minute.it does not have to cook.

Add turmeric,chilli and garam masala powder and the washed rice and dal.

Mix well add 31/2cups of water and pour it into the automatic rice cooker.

Add some salt if required.once it is cooked add ghee and coriander leaves.

Serve hot with khadi.

it is a simple vegetarian whole meal with proteins,carbs and vegetables.
