Curried Meatballs

Ingredients

1 cup dry bread crumbs
cup finely chopped almonds
2 smalls cans water chestnuts chopped
3 teaspoons soy sauce
2 cloves garlic pressed
cup sugar
2 teaspoons curry powder
1 can pineapple chunks
2 tablespoons cornstarch
cup water
to taste grated fresh ginger

Preparation

Mix meat with all ingredients. Add salt to taste. Form into balls about 1-inch in diameter. Roll into corn-starch. Chill, then fry in oil. Make sauce and pour over meatballs. Serve in chafing dish with picks.

SAUCE: Mix sugar, soy sauce, vinegar, water, cornstarch, ginger and curry in saucepan. Add pineapple juice, to taste. Bring to boil, stirring constantly, and boil for 2 to 3 minutes. Add pineapple chunks. Pour over meatballs.
