Miss Daisy's Five Flavor Pound Cake
Ingredients
1 cup butter
1/2 cup vegetable shortening (I prefer Crisco)
3 cups sugar
5 eggs, well beaten
3 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon coconut extract
1 teaspoon rum extract
1 teaspoon butter extract
1 teaspoon lemon extract
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Glaze
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
1 teaspoon of each extract:, coconut, rum, butter, lemon and vanilla
Preparation

In small bowl of mixer, combine butter, shortening and sugar until light and fluffy.

Add eggs.

Combine flour and baking powder.

Add alternately to the creamed mixture with the milk.

Stir in the extracts.

Grease and flour a 10-inch tube pan and spoon mixture into the pan.

Bake in a 325 degree oven for 11/2 hours until cake tests done.

Remove from oven and pour glaze over.

Let cool for 10 minutes and remove from pan and serve.

Prepare Ingredients for glaze

Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil.

Pour over hot cake in pan.

Let sit in pan to cool and then serve.
