Basic Meat Soboro
Ingredients
1 1/2 Tbs. sesame oil
1/2 cup finely chopped green onion, green and white parts both (about 2 stalks)
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
Preparation

Heat up sesame oil in the pan. Add the vegetables and sautee until softened.

Add the meat and brown well.

Add the sugar, and stir around until it’s caramelized.

Add the sake and cook until most of the alcohol has evaporated.

Add the soy sauce and oyster sauce. Simmer until the liquid is almost gone, but the meat is still moist.

About
You may cook this dish longer to make a meat furikake. The furikake will keep longer than the soboro version, but it will also be drier. Serve with rice.
