Andhra Chicken Curry

Ingredients

1 pound Chicken with cut thighs
1 onion chopped
Few cilantro leaves
1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
salt to taste
1/2 tablespoon turmeric powder
1 tablespoon chilli powder
1 cup water
3 cashew-nuts
3 tablespoons coriander seeds
10 smalls cloves

Preparation

Wash the chicken, transfer it to add yogurt,ginger & garlic paste, turmeric,salt,red chilli powder, mix everything properly, cover the pan and let it marinate for an hour.

Chop the onions,the chillies( chop the chillies into long pieces with a cut in the middle), chop the tomatoes and keep them a side.

Take a saucer pan (Preferably non-stick) pour the oil and add the coriander seeds,cinnamon sticks,cloves,cardamom, now add the onions and fry them till they are golden brown, put the tomatoes and fry them till they are tender and now add the chillies and cashew nuts and fry.

Add the marinated chicken with garam masala and salt into the pan and fry it for 4 or 5 minutes. Now add water and mix it well and cover the pan and let it cook for 25- 45 minutes until the chicken appears to have cooked well.

When the chicken is well cooked and if the sauce (which is formed after the water has evaporated) has come together then add chopped cilantro and the dish is ready to be served.
