Vegetarian Chow Mein

Ingredients

1 packet of fresh noodles of your choice
A handful of bean sprouts
1 carrot, peeled and sliced
1 garlic clove, peeled and minced
2 tablespoons vegetarian oyster sauce (if not, you can use any vegetarian
1/2 tablespoon sesame oil
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon ground white pepper

Preparation

Mix vegetarian oyster sauce, sesame oil, soy sauce, kicap manis , white pepper together in a bowl with 2 tbsp of water. Set aside.

Heat up pan with a little oil, then add garlic and carrots to the pan when the oil is hot. Fry until the garlic becomes aromatic.

Add noodles and seasoning mixture into the pan and mix well. Cook the noodles for 2 minutes. Add a little water if the noodles start to stick to the pan.

Add bean sprouts and mix well with the noodles. Cook further for 2 minutes or until the sprouts are soften.

Sprinkle fried shalltos and spring onion. Serve hot.
