Stuffed Mussel Fry

Ingredients

Mussels: 25
White rice(used for pathiri): 2 cup
Coconut: half of 1
Fennel seeds: 1 tbs
Shallots: 5
Cardamom: 5
Chilly powder: 2 tbs
Turmeric powder: 1 tbs
Garam masala powder: 1/2 tsp
Ginger-garlic paste: 1 tsp
Salt: to taste
Oil: for frying

Preparation

Clean the shells of mussels. Keep it in refrigerator for 2-3 hours, which will helps the shells to open.

Remove the unwanted things by cutting. Donot takeout the mussel meat.

Soak rice in warm water for 4 hour.

Grind it with grated coconut, shallots, cardamom, fennel and salt in a grinder without water.

Take a large lemon sized dough and fill the mussel shell with meat. Repeat the steps for each.

Cook it in steamer till it cooks well at least 20-25 minutes.

When it cools , remove the shells.

Mix chilly powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, ginger-garlic paste in a bowl and make thick gravy with little water.

Soak the stuffed mussels in this gravy and fry in boiling oil.
