Nanajenns Pumpkin Bread

Ingredients
2/3 cup shortening
2 2/3 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 can (1 lb.) pumpkin (not pumpkin pie filling)
2/3 cup water
cups flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground cloves
2/3 cup coarsely chopped pecans
Preparation

Heat oven to 350 degree F.

Grease 2 loaf pans (9x5x3).

Mix flour, baking soda, salt, baking powder, cinnamon, and cloves.

Cream shortening and sugar thoroughly.

Add eggs, pumpkin and water.

Add dry ingredients gradually, mixing well in between.

Stir in pecans.

Pour into loaf pans and bake for 65 - 70 minutes or until wooden pick comes our clean.

Remove from pans and cool on rack.

Eat at will!
