Ingredients

Any kind of boneless fish slices-500gms
Red chilly powder-1tbsp
Black pepper( coarsly ground)-1tsp
Turmeric powder-1tsp
Garam masala or Curry powder-1tsp
Dry mango powder-1/2tsp
Lemon juice-1tsp
Salt to taste
Fritters ingredients:
Bengal gram flour/ Chick pea flour-½cup
Rice flour-1/4cup
Maida/ All purpose flour-1/2cup
Red chilly powder-2tsp
Turmeric powder-1tsp
Asafetida-pinch
Baking soda-pinch
Salt to taste
Water required

Preparation

Marinaded the fish slices in the marinating ingredients for an hour.

Next in a deep bowl add the fritters ingredients and add required water.

Mix well to make slightly thick batter.

Heat enough oil in a pan for deep frying.

Dip the marinaded fish slices in the batter and deep fry in hot oil till golden brown and crisp.

Place the Meen bajjis on a paper towel and allow the excess oil to drain.

Serve hot as snack with mint chutney or serve along with meal.
