Butter Balls

Ingredients

2 cups Rice flour:
1 cup Butter
1 cup Brown Sugar Powder
1 teaspoon Cardamom Powder

Preparation

Boil two cups of water, add rice flour to the boiling water and stir continuously. Cook until it becomes a thick paste. Add butter and prepare a thick dough. Set it aside.

Put another vessel on stove, add brown sugar powder, cardamom powder and a cup of water. Boil until the brown sugar dissolves and becomes a slightly thick syrup.

Make small round balls with the dough.

To a deep bottomed pan add clarified butter and boil. Add the butter balls and fry until they turn light brown.

Transfer the butter balls into the syrup and allow to soak for about a couple of hours before use.
