Collard Greens

Ingredients

2 bunchs of collard greens washed and cut in to a large chiffonade
2 smoked ham hocks, or you can use a smoked turkey leg
3 quarts of water

Preparation

In a 5 quart pot place the greens, salt, sugar and the hamhocks and cover with the water. Bring the pot to a boil. Reduce the heat to a simmer and let cook for 45 mins or until the greens are tender and the pot likker develops.
