Baking Powder Coffee Cake

Ingredients

1 cup sugar

1/4 cup butter, softened

2 eggs, separated

Preparation

Beat whites until stiff, but not dry. Cream yolks, sugar and butter well. Mix: 1 1/2 c. flour 1 tsp. baking powder

Mix well and add, gradually, to creamed mixture. Fold in egg whites. Pour into two well greased 8 inch cake pans or one 9 x 13 pan. Sprinkle top with sugar, then cinnamon, and again with sugar. Drizzle 1/4 cup melted butter over all. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.
