Pest Powder
Ingredients
8 teaspoons Crushed Coriander Seeds
8 teaspoons Powdered orris root
Dried peel of 1 orange
Handful of nutmeg
Handful of cloves
teaspoon White sugar
sm Handful of lavender flowers
sm Handful of wormwood or
Preparation

Put the cinnamon sticks, cloves and nutmeg in a grinder. Add all the other ingredients and mix in a large bowl. Fill the linen sachet with the mixture and secure.

To make little spice bags simply put a small amount of mixture in centre of handkerchief and tie up. Decorate with ribbon.

This recipe would be more helpful if we knew what purpose it served. Sachets for pests? I don't get it.
