Ingredients
1 cup
butter
1 cup
sugar
1 cup
golden syrup
or
1 cup
treacle
1 tablespoon
ginger
1 pch
salt
1 teaspoon bicarb
soda
1 tablespoon
milk
2 cups
flour
Preparation

Melt
together the butter, sugar, and golden syrup,
stirring
well.

Dissolve
the bicarb,
salt
and ginger in the milk and add to the mixture.

Add enouhg flour to form a stiff dough.

Scale
the dough into walnut-sized balls, flatten onto a
baking
tray and
bake
in at 325 F for 25 minutes.
