Green Mango Yogurt Curry

Ingredients

3/4 cup raw green mango, finely diced
1/2 cup yogurt, whisked
1/4 teaspoon black mustard seeds
1 hot green green chilli, chopped
1/2 cup water, optional
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 slices of mango, sliced thin

Preparation

Whisk the Yogurt with 1/2 Cup of water if desired,

Add Salt

Grind the coconut, green chilli and mustard seeds into a smooth paste,

Combine all the ingredients,

Garnish with mango slivers and serve

A traditional, no-cook dish, known as Manga Pachhadi/ Manga Parukku in different regions of Kerala. A soothing summer lunch dish served with rice, when mangoes are in season. Variation of this recipe includes a final tempering of mustard seeds, dried red chillies and curry leaves in coconut oil.
