Macedonian Crepes

Ingredients

1/2 teaspoon of salt
** You may need to add just a bit more (or less) of the Seltzer Water to get the correct consistency.***

Preparation

Pour a ladle of batter into the frying pan and tip the pan so to spread the batter because you want to get a really thin pancake.

When it starts to bubble, flip the crepe to the other side for another minute or so, then transfer it to a plate.

Cover the plate – the crepes will get softer in time.

I make my own spreads, jellies, jams, etc., so I use whatever jar I have opened. The jar sitting on my countertop at this moment is my all-time favorite Quince Jam!

But, you can also slice up a banana, layer the slices onto the crepe, place a dollop of Fat-Free Cool Whip on top of the bananas, and finally, you can also squeeze a bit of Hershey’s Chocolate Syrup over the Cool Whip. Roll it up and allow your taste buds to party!

About

In Macedonia they call this recipe, “The Poor Man’s Crepes”, because the recipe does not include milk and eggs. I, on the other hand, think that these crepes are delicious, healthy, and a great treat for vegans.
