Photo: Gorey
Ingredients
20 chicken wing pieces
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon powdered ginger
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon Kosher salt
Preparation
1
Place all ingredients in a large, thick zip-top plastic bag. Make sure it is zipped closed and massage the bag to make sure every wing is coated evenly.
2
Place in refrigerator for at least 6 hours; overnight is even better.
3
Preheat oven to 350-degrees F. Put wings, in a single layer, on a baking sheet and place in oven. Bake for one hour or until chicken is cooked and skin is crispy.

About
Slightly sweet and wasabi savory, this Asian-inspired wing recipe is easy and inexpensive to prepare - and a nice alternative to the ubiquitous Buffalo-style hot wing. An excellent appetizer or main course.
