Toffee Sauce

Ingredients

50 grams butter
75 grams caster sugar
50 grams light muscovado sugar
150 grams golden syrup
1 170g tin of evaporated milk

Preparation

Put the butter sugars and syrup in a pan and heat gently on the simmering plate until melted and liquid.

Transfer to the boiling plate so the mixture boils gently for 5 minutes.

Remove the pan from the heat and gradually stir in the evaporated milk.

The saucy is now ready and can be served hot or warm or dolloped on cold.
