Salmagundi

Ingredients

pound ground beef - (to 2 lbs)
1 medium onion chopped
3 celery ribs chopped
2 carrots shredded, or
finely diced
3 mediums garlic cloves
1 can black beans - (16 oz) drained, rinsed
1 can corn - (16 oz) drained
1 can diced tomatoes - (16 oz) undrained
cup chopped green pimiento-stuffed olives
teaspoon cinnamon
teaspoon salt
2 dshs hot pepper sauce - (to 3 dashes)
Freshly-ground black pepper to taste

Preparation

Brown the ground beef; place in crockpot. Add remaining ingredients; mix to combine. Cover and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours (or high for 4 to 5). Serve with mashed potatoes or rice.
