Chuck Tender Roast

Ingredients

2 pounds chuck roast or round steak

Cut in pieces, roll in flour and brown in skillet to which you have melted 4 tablespoons of shortening or oil. Place meat in 9 x 13 inch cake pan and pour over the following: 1 can onion soup 1 can cream of chicken soup 1 can mushrooms

Juice (soup can size)

Sprinkle lightly with garlic powder or garlic salt. Bake in a 325 degree oven for 1 1/2 to 2 hours until meat is tender. Serve over hot mashed potatoes or wild rice, cooked with chicken broth.
