Fig and Apple Compote

Ingredients

1 Lemon, Juice of
2 larges Tart apples, chopped, peeled and cored
1/2 cup chopped dried figs
1 stick cinnamon, broken into pieces
1/2 teaspoon Freshly grated nutmeg
1 teaspoon Vanilla
1/4 cup Honey

Preparation

Bring juice of lemon and apple juice to boil in saucepan. Add apples, dried figs, and honey. Stir in cinnamon and nutmeg and simmer uncovered until thick. Add vanilla and stir. Serve warm.
