Ready To Bake Biscuits

Ingredients

2 cups flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 tablespoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter
2/3 cup milk

Preparation

Combine flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.

Mix in butter, until mixture resembles coarse crumbs

Add milk, stirring until dough sticks together.

Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Knead for 30 seconds, or until dough becomes smooth.

Roll dough into a rectangle that is ½ inch thick.

Cut into even squares.

Arrange biscuits on a baking sheet and freeze.

Place frozen biscuits into a ziplock freezer bag.

To bake, place biscuits on a baking sheet, thaw for 10 minutes and then bake in a preheated 425 oven for 20 minutes.

Try cutting your biscuits into squares, with a pizza cutter. This saves you from having extra dough to re-roll (making tough biscuits).
