Question: Is there a difference between sponge cake ladyfingers and Italian ladyfingers when making Tiramisu?

If you use a sponge cake instead of ladyfingers,it can give basically the same result. As long as you can soak up the coffee and liquor without everything going to mush- it will be fine.
