Question: Recipe for small tree-shaped cakes

December 20, 2010
I am look ing for an easy recipe for little trees - the size of cupcakes. I have a 6-tree from and lost the recipe that came with it. Experiments never gave the right results. The little trees need to be dense but not hard. Which rp should I adapt?

I have the silicone version of this pan. I spray them with oil then use a regular sponge cupcake recipe and it works great. I've also made muffins in them. The pound cake should work too. I don't have a small recipe though.

It's a form with 6 little cakes (think tree-shaped cupcakes) each some 3/4 in deep.

Cupcake rp stick too much, bisquit is too fluffy; maybe pound cake or bundt cake rp.

The cakes should come out nicely have an even outside for decoration.

I would make a poundcake. It will hold up under the weight of the other cakes and have a good texture.
Depending on the flavor you want- there are several recipes available- just type in poundcake into the search box. Use the freshest eggs you can get for the best results- it really makes a difference.
