It's usually best to purchase all accessories and attachments in the country where you are using your mixer. Besides the different voltage, mixers designed for use in different countries can also have some minor design differences in both the mixers themselves and the attachments, so purchasing one or the other in different countries may make them incompatible. I know, for instance, that the RVSA (slicer/shredder attachment) is a different style in South America than in the U.S./Canada. I believe that the hub and hub ports on all attachments are the same though, but I have still heard personally from consumers who say that their internationally bought attachments don't fit correctly on their mixers. Could be a fluke, but still better to buy them in your home country. Also, definitely the U.S./Canadian ice cream maker attachment will not work on international mixers, because the ring guard found on all export models causes interference. The ring guard is a necessary safety component required of the export models.
