Slow Roasted Pork

Ingredients
2 lbs. boneless pork (shoulder or butt)
1/2 tablespoon sugar
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup water
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 cup dry sherry
1/2 teaspoon grated ginger
1/2 tablespoon Soy Bean Past (found in Asian markets)
2 green onions, chopped
1 teaspoon anise seed
2 garlic cloves, crushed
