Beer Doughnuts

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Melt butter and let cool. Sift flour, sugar, baking powder, nutmeg, cinnamon, salt and buttermilk powder together in a large mixing bowl.

Note: Use real butter or stick margarine. Do not substitute reduced-fat spreads; their higher water content often yields less-satisfactory results.
