Ingredients
3 T.
butter
3 T.
flour
2 C
milk
1/4 t.
salt
1/2 t.
pepper
1 lb. elbow macaroni
3/4 lb.
American cheese
, shredded
1/2 lb. sharp
cheddar
, shredded, 1/2 C reserved
Preparation

Melt
butter in a large sauce pan;
stir
in flour until smooth.

Cook,
stirring
, over low
heat
for 3 min.

Gradually
stir
in milk until smooth.

Add
shredded
cheese;
stir
constantly, over low
heat
, until
thickened
- about 10 min.

Cook elbows al dente [8 min] then drain.

Combine cheese sauce and pasta, then add the reserved 1/2 C of sharp cheese.

Transfer to a buttered 9x13"

Bake
@ 350F for 25-30 minutes.
