Mashed Banana Cake

Ingredients

2 bananas, mashed
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup pure butter
2 eggs
2 cups cake flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
3/4 cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon vanilla

Preparation

Cream butter and sugar, add unbeaten eggs and beat well. Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with buttermilk.

Bake in 350 degree oven for 30 minutes or until toothpick is clean when inserted in center of cake and removed. Ice with butter icing or vanilla icing and place sliced bananas between layers.
