Peaches In Primitivo Syrup

Ingredients

1 whl clove
2 cups Sugar
2 cups Primitivo di Gioia
(a dry red wine from Puglia)
Biscotti for serving

Preparation

In a medium saucepan, combine clove, sugar and red wine and heat until sugar is dissolved, about 10 minutes. Cool and keep covered.

Peel and slice peaches and divide among 4 wine glasses. Pour 1/4 cup syrup over each peach and serve immediately with biscotti.
