Pork Adobo (Filipino Style)

Ingredients

1 1/4 pounds pork, cut into cubes about 1- 2 inches
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon sugar
4 teaspoons cooking oil

Preparation

Combine all ingredients except the cooking oil in a pot or a container.

Let it stand for about 30 minutes (Longer marination will make the meat tastier).

After marinating, simmer and cover (medium-low fire) the meat for at least an hour or until meat is tender.

Stir occasionally.

Separate and drain the meat. Keep the sauce.

On a skillet, heat oil and cook the meat until it turns brown.

Return it in the saucepan and simmer for two minutes.

Add sugar or water if the taste is too concentrated or strong.

Put in a serving plate, and serve.
