Creamed Tomato Bisque

Ingredients
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup chopped green pepper
1/2 cup flour
2 (28 oz) cans whole tomatoes, chopped with juice
2 teaspoons sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons basil
1 teaspoon tarragon
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon thyme
2 bay leaves
2 cups light cream
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon curry powder
1/4 teaspoon white pepper
Salt to taste

Add the flour and continue to sauté for another minute, stirring constantly.

Add the chicken broth, tomatoes, sugar, basil, tarragon, cayenne pepper, thyme and bay leaves.

About
This is my take on tomato bisque. Feel free to use fresh, roasted tomatoes---just puree them with a food mill.
