NEW ENGLAND STRAWBERRY PIE

Ingredients

3 tablespoons cornstarch or tapioca starch
1 cup sugar

Preparation

Crush 1 pint of berries and place in a saucepan.

Add sugar and cornstarch or tapioca starch; boil until thick and transparent, about 5 minutes.

Line a pie shell with the other pint of berries, hulled, but left whole.

Pour hot mixture over berries; chill.
