Caldwell Tanner of CollegeHumor recently mocked up a series called "If Boring Cereals Had Mascots." The six featured cereal boxes are Cheerios, Total, Shredded Wheat, Kellogg's Cracklin' Oat Bran, Fiber One and Grape-Nuts. Tanner's mascot for Total is Tony the Tiger's older brother, Terry, who halfheartedly says, "They're okay."
The Cheerios box in the CollegeHumor series isn't much more exciting. Instead of the friendly heart shapes and uplifting bee, Gary the Anatomically Correct Heart implores shoppers to "Get pumped about breakfast!"
