Ginger-Infused Maple Cream Sauce

Ingredients

5 tablespoons (75 ml) maple syrup
3 tablespoons (45 ml) corn syrup (you can also use Golden Syrup)
1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger

Preparation

Put all ingredients in a heavy saucepan and heat on medium until reduced by about one-third. Sauce will be thicker but still a bit runny.

Strain the sauce to remove the ginger

Put sauce in the fridge to cool (it will thicken up a lot) before reheating to serve.
