Hoodia
About
Hoodia (pronounced who-dia) is a flowering succulent plant found in the Namib Desert. It has the remarkable property of quenching hunger when consumed, thus people in Namibia and Angola eat it during times of famine. This property is also making it popular in the West as a weight-loss supplement.
