Popovers With Rosemary

Ingredients

1 cup milk
1 cup flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon melted butter (sometimes I use olive oil)
1 sprig rosemary, leaves pulled off

Preparation

1
Mix the ingredients on a low speed for about 30 seconds, scraping the bowl as you go.
2
Divide the batter evenly into 8 well-greased and floured muffin cups.
3
Put the pan into a cold oven and set it to 450.
4
After 15 minutes, turn the oven down to 350 and cook for an additional 25 minutes, until golden brown and puffy.
5
Cut a slit into the side of each popover.
6
Serve warm with extra butter

Hi Kristen! I'm thinking cheese? and maybe bacon bits? haha :) im craving for something cheese or bacon..or even both. if it wont taste weird ;/

Cheese would be good, though I don't think I'd pair it with anything super sharp, IMO.Cheese is a great idea though since these are already such an eggy/bready type food. Yum

Yeah, I might try cheese then! :) Thanks Kristen!

i love rosemary. these look delicious-- thanks for sharing! amy, you should try cheese and bacon-- i bet it'd be delicious. although, if you add the bacon, you should definitely leave out the rosemary.
