1.8 Million Pounds of Ground Beef Recalled

During the biggest burger eating holiday of the year, comes one huge ground beef recall. 

Wolverine Packing Co. of Detroit, MI, has recalled an eye popping 1.8 million pounds of ground beef and ground beef products since there is a risk that the beef is contaminated by E. coli O157:H7. 

The ground beef was produced between March 31 and April 28, 2014. The list of products included in the recall are listed here

Some identifying factors to the contaminated beef are: 

The production codes: Packing Nos: MM DD14 Between 03 13 14 and 04 18 14

They were all shipped to restaurants in Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri and Ohio. 

At the time of this blog, there have been 11 cases of illness in four states.
