Rachael Ray Talks Ziploc FreshOver Project

April 4, 2012

Rachael Ray has joined forces with Ziploc for their Great American FreshOver Project. The project is a two-year campaign to help people across America learn how to bring nutritious and fresh foods to the dinner table. The celebrity chef recently talked to Parade magazine about the new initiative.

"The simplest solution is to get kids excited about food and teach them about eating more fresh fruits and vegetables so they can control not only their diet, but their eating habits for the rest of their lives," Ray said. "The FreshOver Facebook page is a destination for moms and families to go and get recipes, tips, and coupons to make it more affordable to eat more fruits, vegetables, and fresh foods. I was happy to dedicate time and energy into providing recipes and tips. There's meaningful communication happening back and forth. I think that's how you make real social change happen."
