As a dancer, Cheryl Burke says she has struggled with her weight and was on a mission to lose 5 pounds.
The 5 foot 4 Dancing with the Stars pro's diet included cutting out red meat, cheese and white carbs and opted for whole wheat bread, gluten-free pasta and lots of vegetables instead. But Burke made sure to give herself cheat days so she was still able to enjoy her favorite foods.
“I love carbs and I love chips,” she said. “I’m not going to deprive myself – but instead of eating potato chips I’ll eat Triscuits or low-fat Cheez-Its.”
Burke says that losing those last five pounds have helped her feel more confident than ever.
