Book Review - The Good Neighbor Cook Book

August 21, 2011

Have you ever stood in the middle of your kitchen, wanting to make a dish to bring to the homeschool party and your mind is a blank? Please don't tell me that I am the only one. I received a book in the mail that can help us both.

The Good Neighbor Cook Book, by Sara Quessenberry and Suzanne Schlosberg, is a cookbook worthy of the kitchen bookshelf. It is packed with ideas that have huge flavor, without a huge investment in time. What struck me, was that many of the foods throughout, were things I normally cook with,  just put together in imaginative ways! The sections are divided into themes: Bringing Home Baby, Get Well Soon, Welcome to the Neighborhood, Block Parties and Barbecues, and my favorite: Meet and Eat, to name just a sample.

Although it looks like a cute and fun book, there is serious eating within. What a great concept and handy go-to guide. Check out The Good Neighbor and see if the answer to your next neighborly gesture is inside.
