The Food Network is beginning casting for season 8 of their hit show, The Next Food Network Star. If you think you got what it takes to be in food television, you can submit your application three ways: by email, standard mail, or by attending one of the open calls. Anyone who wishes to attend must bring a completed application (available online) and a home video introducing themselves and demonstrating how they cook (not required for open calls). Open calls will be taking place in New York City, St. Louis, Chicago, Washington, D.C., Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Honolulu and Austin (see website for dates and times). All applications must be received no later than September 12, 2011. Filming for Season 8 is scheduled for Winter 2012.
