Scrumptious Snickerdoodles

The history of the snickerdoodle's name is a mystery.  Some claim it to be German in origin while others say that snickerdoodle comes from the Dutch word snekrad which means "snail shaped."  There is another theory suggesting that New Englanders, where the cookie originated, created a whimsical name to describe this delectable cinnamon and sugar cookie.  However snickerdoodles got its name doesn't matter so long as we can still eat them.  For full recipe instructions, click the snickerdoodles link above the ingredient list.

Snickerdoodles

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups sugar
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon
